And just like that, I've become an Apple fanboy.

There's so much irony here that we may be able to eradicate anemia worldwide.

I've said it before.  Anti-fanboys are 100x worse than fanboys.  Give me somebody that is happy and excited about products over a guy that is bitter and cynical about them any day.

Brands are the religions of out time.  Fanboys are the people on the street-corner who shout at you.  We must construct a Colosseum, gather the Fanboys and have them fight to the death.

I always find it hilarious when people get angry about products they don't even use.

Are they that insecure that they need to bash everything they don't use in order to make themselves feel better about their own purchases?

If it does what YOU want it to do that should be that.

I am continually impressed with how awesome you guys are, with basically no supervision required. We don't even really have fanboys or haters, and we're surprisingly big for a site without any official moderation.

I think this part sums it up: "  Are Apple computers better than Microsoft-based computers? Is one better than the other when looked at empirically, based on data and analysis and testing and objective comparisons?

It doesn’t matter.

Those considerations come after a person has begun to see themselves as the sort of person who would own one. If you see yourself as the kind of person who owns Apple computers, or who drives hybrids, or who smokes Camels, you’ve been branded.

Once a person is branded, they will defend their brand by finding the flaws in the alternative choice and pointing out benefits in their own."

Maybe you mean.....North?

@TheBitterBuffalo: Most likely both.  They probably take the Starcraft fanboys and the capitalist "fanboys" and throw them into a coliseum built in the demilitarized zone.  They each get a small dagger and wooden shield.  Last one standing either gets a free copy of the Starcraft 2 Collectors edition or deported.

I heard rumors that when Mac switched to using Intel processors that it drove the cost of those same processors up, Idunno if this is true but this is the only thing that ever got me to be upset with mac.

Whenever I have used mac they have been great. If you can afford one and don't want to worry about things not working properly, it seems like the way to go. Also I loved my iPhone, and without that we wouldn't really have all these smartphones that we have today so yeah, Apple deserves some love.

Also if Apple TV gets more people subscribing to Netflix, I would never speak i'll of Apple ever. Getting Netflix more subscribers needs to happen so that studios are forced to deal with them in a more expediently.

I for one am appalled at the lack of Haiku coverage on this site. Your anti-NewOS sentiments are blatant and disgusting.
