I purchased windows 8 on launch day and put it on my usb stick to install and it works fine and everything, but, I've broken the usb drive now and all of a sudden windows upgrade assistant claims windows 8 "isn't available in my region" (I live in the UK) can anybody help me and let me know how I can make a copy of windows 8 to put onto dvd just in case I ever need to format my drive.
So you download the image from the Microsoft Store, put it on a USB drive. The USB drive breaks, and now you can't download it again? Is that the issue?
I'd really suggest getting in touch with Microsoft about it, but otherwise your only solution is to make a full back-up in Windows. It wouldn't be a clean install though. It'd be a copy of whenever you made the back-up.
