So Itunes is now putting films that are new releases in theaters on the iTunes store available for rental for the same price as a theatre ticket. Such as the film "I'm Still Here" Sounds great right? But theres a catch. This will support piracy. People can easily screen cap their Pc or Mac while viewing the movie and publish it on torrent websites before the DVD is even made available. So this is a terrible idea right? What are your thoughts?
If anything, it'll cut down on piracy. Movies are always going to be available to download illegally, but if iTunes can offer a high-quality, consistent experience for a reasonable price, people will use it instead of downloading a shady file and risking a lawsuit.
