Ferry slip headwork built from coffee stirrers

  • I recently built this ferry slip headwork for my model railroad using 140mm x 4mm coffee stirrers as the main material. The wheels are from a finger bike toy. The prototype still stands near pier 54 and Mission Rock in San Francisco.

The coffee stirrers are pretty easy to work with, you just need a fresh xacto blade. I have a short post about it at http://thomasbeuteltinkers.com/ferry-slip-headwork/ and the video is https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wYJTm5A02Zg
