  • @jbarkan: Awesome.remind me to the Newton virus from Troika while ago

  • Okay this workstation is not a thing of beauty, a craftsperson i aint but its brill because its the first thing i have made with my teenage son. I made it for his room, his geekyness had outgrown his space, made it out of plywood in an afternoon. It was a totally organic project, we scribbled a plan on a scrap of paper and went for it. Really chuffed with it :).

  • Obviously I didn't build the entire bike but I did a lot of work on it. Paint, front fender and seat I made did myself and modified most of the other stuff. It was my first time painting so that was a learning experience for sure.

  • @Jay Ace: Is that gold-leaf on the stripe/brass-knuckles? Beautiful paint-job.

  • @kim_a: Apologies, I should have mentioned that the knuckles and numbers are stickers. Black, white and the gold stripe is real paint. Gold stripe is metallic and not gold-leaf. Reasoning behind using stickers was because I could change the look without repainting the whole tank :)

  • Hey guys. Members of our group have created a number of projects that we're sure you'd find interesting. Here are some samples:

We'd love to hear some feedback. Thanks!

  • @Jay Ace: Dig it man. I'm actually about to head out for a ride myself.

  • I'm constantly making stuff, but today I posted a how-to for making a huge desk, covered in whiteboard paint!

There's a full article/how-to on the build at iLikeToMakeStuff.com (my blog)

  • I made this scale(ish) replicat of Samus' arm cannon from the Metroid Prime series. There is a Wiimote embedded in the top of the controller, and the fire and jump buttons are rewired to a trigger inside so you can play the Wii versions of the games by pointing the arm at the tv with one hand and using the Nunchuck with the other.

I applied for and was granted entrenched to the #rbcreation Red Bull Turbull Encabulator competition. My team was one of 50 who submitted a video all about lights: http://youtu.be/IRHrkJMjoaU

Enjoy! BTW, you'd find a Visual Music Machine & Edutainment Device at Creativity Cafe for sure!

  • @everfalling: I believe I recognize the location from the last photo, are you a student at AAU? I took Bill's neon class last fall, it was awesome. :)

  • @kim_a: Indeed I am. I took Bill's class in spring of 2012 (i got that hermit crab into the spring show :) ). He's a great guy and an awesome teacher. I only wish i had more ideas involving neon because it's a fun medium to work in.

  • Hi Folks, Here's a full-sized water-cooled PC Case Mod I made about 6 years ago, inspired by the Doom 3 game franchise. It's titled Doom 3: Project Mars City. It's made entirely from scratch, with some kit-bashing. It has motorized, remote controlled doors, steam generator, lights etc. I also have a video of the build on YouTube: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=a89yRqqK1T8

I have many more build pics if interested--Enjoy!

  • @Crimson_Sky: Hey I remember following that build a while back. Great stuff.

  • @therealjustin: that looks amazing! Which hasbro figures are they I cant find them. They look realy detailed?

  • @therealjustin: that looks amazing! Which hasbro figures are they I cant find them. They look realy detailed?

  • @Strongy:

    Thanks!

They are from the standard Hasbro 3.75" Iron Man 2 line, also called Marvel Universe. No extra detailing was needed really but finding ones with decent paint apps can be difficult.

  • You drink your Raspberry Wheat homebrew out of a cool old bird glass. I don't make the rules, I just follow them. Best batch yet!

  • Hi everybody! What an inspiration all the Tested guys and Adam and Jaime are! Just found the forum here and already having fun checking out everybody's fun stuff...I am working on a public sculpture to take the http://www.cambriascarecrows.com/ to the next level...My Mom owns a house in Cambria and got me into her scarecrow project..She is making the costume and I am making all the props..Please head over to my new blog to see all my pics!

Here is a teaser of whats over on my blog...this first pic is of the finished version of Gandalf's sword Glamdring..I know it's not a perfect replica but I am learning fast and trying to be as authentic as possible while taking a few small artistic liberties due to materials and tool access..I have so many pics maybe too many to re-post here due to time constraints but I would love to invite everybody over there.

I know the scabbard is brown..It looked better than the blue so I am running with it..Working on the belts for it now...

I realize I have changed the form of the staff a little as well come on over to my blog to understand my changes more.

I believe in every single person out there that has a vision of making something they see their dreams become real and use that as a driving, positive force in their lives and careers. Adam and Jaime and superheros and have helped me so much in my life to overcome obstacles I am thrilled to be hanging out on here and look forward to hopefully meeting new people and holding everyone up towards their dreams....TO THE WORKSHOP!

  • Hey, this is an Ironman helmet I am working on. Its not 100% yet. This was just a rough paint job to keep me motivated to get to the finish line. I still have some minor OCD cleanup to do on the edges and some angles. Its almost there.

  • I really love the Tanner Goods Cardholder wallet. It's such a clean and simple design. So I decided to make one for myself. I've never worked with leather, but I've always wanted to. So I consumed as much info online as I could and went out and bought resources. I came home and a few hours later, (not including drying time for the dye and sealant) I had this. I now want to move on to making more complex items. I have a few original ideas in the works.
