Big Google plus UI update

  • Ok so i might be a wee bit late with this one (it happened the 11th) but it took a while for something to happen on my google plus account for me to go there.

They did a pretty severe UI update, i must admit i quite like what they are going for, especially that you can customize it.

  • Haven't been to my google+ page in months. Just checked it out. Really like the update. Still doubt I'll ever use it.

  • It's a nice update and I use the service with a few of my close friends. All the whitespace is a bit odd on large monitors but they say they are going to fill that with something coming soon. I especially like the customisable bar on the left so you can have whatever you use most up there and hide the games section that no one uses,

Edit: On a side note, I like the song on the video quite a lot and ended up buying the rest of the album which is also quite good.

  • My biggest complaint is that now Google is showing me "hot" posts on G+. Posts by people I've never heard of / don't care about. There could be a way to turn that off, but I don't know that I care enough about G+ to figure it out. At that point, it'll just go back to being nothing but Gary and Patrick again.

  • I'm more excited that the video uses a Kina Grannis song.

Actually i have found that to be quite interesting, It does not happen that often but i guess it is a bit more noticeable when you are not circleing (?) with a lot of people.

  • @RustySpoon: If you want to turn the what's hot off click on 'explore' on the left tab. Then you should see a slider where you can chose how much outside stuff is displayed on your front page. Just slide all the way to the left to turn it off.
