  • @Deusx: It's native in chrome. You don't need to install anything extra. Just go to the script link and hit install.

  • @Th3irdEye: Oh, I'm such an idiot, thanks!

  • Wow I never expected this post to be so heavily discussed. I wish I could edit the first post and add all of the latest updates and efforts to it. I have to satisfy a math requirement for school and this thread is thread is making me consider taking that java course.
  • @Laxaloot: I like it. You even fixed the one thing I mentioned on the first page. It looks so good now. Great work!

  • I decided to get in on the fun too.

    Here's a screenshot of the script: http://www.vager.net/tested-design/screen.png

Download it here: http://www.vager.net/tested-design/tested-design.user.js(make sure you disabled/uninstall the other scripts)

If you want to know what I did, here's the stylesheet: http://www.vager.net/tested-design/tested.css

  • @Vager: Awesome.

  • @Vager: You made my day good sir! Thank you very much.

  • Thanks @Vager for your script. Awesome.

  • This is probably a dumb question, but is there any way to use one of these scripts without the "flash" as it is applied?

I, too, would like to know this!

  • What do you mean by flash? I think that is just the script working.

@Vager, that is awesome. I don't know how these scripts work, but can you change the white that surrounds the posts to either black or red.

I'm assuming he means the brief period of loading in which we can see the site's usual layout.

  • @benpicko: @Kingfalcon: This is only for Chrome. Download and install the Stylebot extension: https://chrome.google.com/webstore/detail/oiaejidbmkiecgbjeifoejpgmdaleoha

Then download/install the design (blue button with arrow pointing down on the top right corner) here: http://stylebot.me/styles/1179

That should get rid of the delay entirely, it does for me at least. Sorry, don't know of any alternative for Firefox.

  • @Vager: hahaha I just realized what the name of your script is. That's hilarious.

    Thanks a lot! That worked.

  • @Vager: Heard about you a lot across Whiskey (were you the Star Trek MMO guy on the GB look couple of years ago?). You sir, are a star

In the words of Adam himself: I reject your reality and substitute my own!

    Perfect.

  • Speaking of logos, did anyone spot the tested.com logo (both top and bottom of page) change from the Hammer/cog logo to a 50s font treatment of the word "Tested"? I'm sure I spotted this a day or two ago and Will and me even had a quick Twitter chat about it, but I can't find any sign of it anywhere.

Am I going mad? Is this reality? Etc.

Heh, ya that was me. There are a few things that people know me for, but It's been a few year's since someone mentioned the Star Trek Online beta.

  • I don't have anything of value to add to this topic, I just wanted to say thanks for making such an amazing skin. I've been using it a while and it just blows the "official" design out of the water. I really hope the so called "top men" are taking note of the great work that has been done here by the community.

  • @Laxaloot: Can you change the whiskey thumbnail at the bottom back to a classic tested logo?

I install the script because I don't like the new design, but I'm not stuck in the past.

Tested is no longer with Whiskey.

  • Now if only I can get Greasemonkey for Chrome... :(

  • @Bigheart711: You don't need it. The feature is built right into chrome. Just go to the site and download the script and you are away.

It's great nostalgia and far less harsh on the eyes!

  • @katanalauncher: Certainly, I was just having a bit of fun, but that can change in the next build. Unfortunately I have a day job so it will have to wait until tomorrow to fix, but I welcome all ideas on what to change. I'm also thinking of stealing a bit from vager's script if he is okay with that. Any other suggestions on how to my my script better?

  • @Laxaloot: Go for it. Take what ever you want from it. Anyone is welcome to do so.

  • I wasn't going mad about seeing that random 50s Tested logo appear...

  • @pickassoreborn: I personally think the cog is a more thought out design, but awesome find!

  • Okay my script has been updated, it now has the repeatable bg brought to you by vager, tested logo in footer, black outline across most of the site, and a few other tweaks. The black outline seems to be acting a little wonky on firefox, but I hope to figure that out soon.

    Tell me what you think!

  • Update looks great :)
