Them being this happy and excited about it, makes things less bitter tasting in my mouth. Obviously this is a huge step up for them in terms of notoriety and what they're able to do now with an exponentially increased budget, not to mention all the added content and branched out subjects.
I'm happy that they are happy. Truly. That doesn't necessarily mean that I am going to be happy with the direction the new site takes. But we'll see. It definitely could have been handled better (understatement of the year?). Contrast this sudden refresh and rebranding of the site (I mean it really did seem more of a working "with" until the site was revealed) to the videos of the Giant Bomb guys just being their same old selves. Hopefully we will get to see some silly Norm and Will video content soon!
Anyhow, I may not love the new site but that doesn't mean I love Will and Norm any less.
I do think people need to calm down and I mean after all it's just the first day who knows what they got planned. I don't think people are giving them a fair shake, need to give it a few weeks before judging.
I think the main problem is when you see the new site you don't see Will & Norm. If they were pictured along side the new guys I don't think people would be freaking out as much.
I have to say, I'm not a huge fan of the new look, specifically on the forums. I think it works alright on the rest of the site from what I've seen, but these boxes feel weird on the forums to me.

I'm not worried about Will and Norm, but I don't think the concerns are irrational, especially if you ever watched any cartoon as a kid. In basically every cartoon, the protagonists join up with their role models and are ecstatic, but become increasingly frustrated as they realize that they are being shoved out of the picture.
Will and Norm should have expected this. The entity that was known as Whiskey Media was personality-driven. The content on Tested is dandy, but it's all about Will and Norm specifically. When I first saw the redesign, it seemed pretty dirty to me too.
I don't think Will and Norm see the situation in the same way we do. For them, Jamie and Adam are their nerd-celebrities,and are way more important than them. However, for us, Will and Norm are just as much celebrities as Jamie and Adam are, and so deserve equal weighting in the site's design.
