All pages now seem to be multi-page... and like... not even with a reasonable amount of content on the first page. Schweet. Let's just hope that this is just TOP MEN testing some stuff out.
My guess is they are having issues with the jump, the two page articles are breaking at the jump and Adam's home run cut off at the jump. So making it two pages for now might be a way to work around an issue they are trying to fix.
Hey guys, remember when Tested had a good design and worked?
To be fair though, if I had to guess I'd say most bugs happening are probably because of "separating" the website and whatnot. Still not a fan of that multi-page thing.
To get around multi page if you use Safari (iPhone/IPad or Desktop) e Reader feature will preload the next page in the article, making it read on one nicely formatted page. Still not great but it has made the site go from a nuisance to use, to alright.
I'm holding back my rage because I really like that Jamie and Adam now own Tested, but if you remember I flipped my shit when Whisky added the vocaroo toolbar for non subscribers last year.
I understand the want for more page views since this site might have ads now, but long pages look and read so much better. I'm not going to get angry right now, I'll give them the benefit of the doubt but I just hope this isn't one of the changes.
I'll give one concession to multipage views. If they can make it Instapaper friendly, I'll deal with the multipage views, but that's my line in the sand.
The way it's currently rendering is a bug. The teaser tag, which we use to separate front page content from the rest of the story, is rendering as a page split. It will be fixed.
Dave, site's broken.
@anthony: Now you're just going to make us even more sad :P
Yes.
@anthony: =(
Holy shit, multipaged articles? That's against the Whiskey Media spirit. All articles should be really long pages!
I haven't seen any. I haven't read every article yet but everyone I've read so far has been a single page.
I really do wish Dave would fix the site >_>
@anthony: I wish we could all hug right now.
You guys realize that this site was made by Whiskey Media engineers, just not Dave?
Hardcore Dave is owned by another company now :(
I hope that it's actually a formatting issue and not a move to a multipage setup.
Because that would fucking suck.
@mirado: This. And the 10 comment per forum page ting kind of stinks too.
@yothatlimp: And the 3000 character limit on posts.
.....god damn this place is a mess, isn't it?
This site isn't hardcore anymore. The corporate folk seem to think we don't know any of the tricks etc. shit is obviously guys!
@katanalauncher: nooooooooooooo :(

@mirado: I was thinking the same thing.

Now all apologise to
VerlanWilliam for being so quick to anger.@will: thanks for the update WIll.
@will: That's great to hear.
@AtomicEdge: No. It was a valid concern. No one said anything out of line, as it really looked like the worst had happened.
On the plus side, Readability works. On the other hand, I had to use Readability.
