iPad International Launched Delayed Until May

Looks like those of us interested in the iPad outside of the US are going to have to face yet more agonisingly long days before we get our hands on an iPad. 

Faced with this surprisingly strong US demand, we have made the difficult decision to postpone the international launch of iPad by one month, until the end of May. We will announce international pricing and begin taking online pre-orders on Monday, May 10. We know that many international customers waiting to buy an iPad will be disappointed by this news, but we hope they will be pleased to learn the reason-the iPad is a runaway success in the US thus far.    

Great, thanks Apple. We're really pleased to learn the iPad is a success in the US, really nice to know everyone is enjoying it while we have to wait yet another month...

That is one fucked up statement. I don't think Apple thought that one through.

I was looking forward to getting this at the end of the month. After seeing all the coverage from the release weekend i got even more excited. 
 
The buzz for it thou is dying down on it already. I think apple has made a bad decision here, the longer it takes to come out over here (uk) and the problems people have been having with it might hurt the sales a bit.
 
Still, new Macbook Pros are out....
 
EDIT: and theres still no prices for it either

Yeah, this is definitely confirmed. Apple PR's hit all the Canadian newspapers with a statement, so it looks like we'll be waiting a little longer. Quite frankly, I just want to try one out is all.

I seriously doubt that's any consolation for the waiting customers.

Hm, international customers have to wait longer for an iPad and pay more for an iPad... I would hate to be an international Apple fan.

Yup, I have to wait til the end of May, it actually is kinda nice cause it'll be easier for me to afford one by the end of may as opposed to the end of april.

Damn. I was hoping this was one of those times where we just get lumped in with the US. I'm in the same boat, I don't really want to buy one, but I really want to play with one.

I doubt people outside of the US care that the iPad is a success here.
