AD I SAW ON CRAIGSLIST:

I have decided to sell my gaming computer. I will part it out or sell it as a complete package minus the power supply and hard drives.
Core 2 Duo 6320 CPU w\ 4mb L2 cache - Gigabyte P35-DS3R motherboard - 2gb DDR2 memory - $170
full tower aluminum case w\ acrylic window - $30
Nvidia GeForce 8800GTS w\ HDTV output - $90 or best offer

I can get the entire system for 250$ and a power supply for 50. I have HD and DVD Of my own. Is it worth it? If not what would you do?

Additonal information:

I mainly play WoW and am wanting to play the new StarWars MMO. I have 1800 dollars sitting in my pocket and have about a 10 year old dell sitting here with a geforce 5500fx that runs about 10fps in a 25 man raid on the LOWEST settings. It is time to upgrade and I don't know how much to spend. I am contemplating a 1250$ system with i-7 930 and 6gb with a GTX 460. Or, I can get this and save 800 dollars. I do occasionally do video editing and I want something that will last me. WHAT SHOULD I DO????

well the system you want is a hell of a lot better and will last longer, so if that money isn't desperately tied up somewhere go for that. It's ok at best and you would need to upgrade the memory anyway so that's another $100+. If you buy the $300 machine you are probably going to be disappointed when starwars comes out. I say if you really play wow a lot and want to have a nice experience with the new starwars mmo go for the machine you were planning,

I don't think that would "last you" save up some money and get low range new dell.

you can build a pretty powerful pc for pretty cheap nowadays.

I built my first for under $450

2gb ddr3 ram
hd 4870
500 gb hdd
amd phenom II x2  555--> unlocks to 4 cores
matx gigabyte board
matc case cooler master 341
cooler master HSF
and some other small things, 3 fans, thermal paste, ect.

I did buy some of the parts used.  But buy an XFX video card used, has a transferable warranty so no point in buying a new on imo.

I recently upgraded it a bit.
sold my 4870 for $120 and bought a 5850 for $220. Another used XFX card.
Sold my 2gb for a 4gb kit. cost $50 to upgrade that

so for a total of under $650 I got a pretty respectable pc. I dont see the need to spend as much as people think, just do some work and be patient in finding deals on what seem like the cheaper things like the case or even the fans. A few bucks here and there add up to a lot.
