Nintendo is probably by far the biggest "loser". They're launching a new console this year and didn't show JACK.
Ubisoft was the clear winner this year when it comes to press conferences.
I'm most looking forward to Halo 4 and Need for Speed: Paradise 2, er I mean, Most Wanted. I'll also be getting Forza Horizon this year since I'm a member of GB's Race Night, but I haven't seen enough of that game yet to make me want it more than NFS. I still have no idea how the cars handle in that game, so that's part of the reason.
I thought i counted 20+ new games for the wii U...unless you meant they're just milking old franchises...and didn't come out with new IP....then again, Halo and NFS arn't exactly new ip either...
@Morbo: There might be 20 some odd WiiU games on the show floor, but Nintendo didn't let me know that they exist. They spent 20 minutes talking about a minigame collection. There's something wrong going on when I'm more excited about a Lego game for a new Nintendo console than an actual Nintendo game.
All of them were rather dull, some cool stuff here and there but nothing super exciting.
For me Watch Dogs and Last of Us are the games I'm most interested in. Smart Glass was also quite interesting and it will be intruiging to find out how well that is implemented with all of our current hardware but aside from that there were some cool things here and there but most of it we already knew.
I like the presentation of the WiiU. I think they did well with the presentation and looks like the new controller. I think they are making good use of the controller and what it has to offer with it. Seems like Nintendo had good offerings even if they didn't show too much of it. But ZombiU has me pretty intrigued.
@stenchlord: Damn dude! That's almost how many games I have over the entire life of the Xbox 360. I can't imagine buying, nonetheless playing, that many games in one year.
Most games don't take that long to finish. Stuff like Modern Warfare 3 and Battlefield 3 only lasted 4-5 hours for the campaign on normal (Hardened for MW3) and I'm not interested in the MP and I assume this will be the same for stuff like Black Ops II, Halo 4, Tomb Raider, Splinter Cell: Blacklist, Resident Evil 6 etc. Games like Dance Central 3 only get played when friends are over. Luigi's Mansion 2 will be played whenever I'm on a bus or train or when I'm out. DotA 2 I'll likely play one or two games at a time and games usually only last 20mins to an hour.
It's just the games like Assassin's Creed III, Borderlands 2, etc that I expect will take the longest amount of time (15-30 hours) which will be the ones I will likely focus on during weekends/holidays.
EDIT:
Assassin's Creed III (15-20hrs)
Beyond: Two Souls (5-7hrs)
Bioshock Infinite (5-7hrs)
Borderlands 2 (20-35hrs)
DotA 2 (20-40mins)
Dust: An Elysian Tale (5-9hrs)
Halo 4 (5-8hrs)
Last of Us (6-9hrs)
Pikmin 3 (4-9hrs)
South Park: Stick of Truth (???)
Tomb Raider (5-8hrs)
Watch Dogs (10-15hrs)
That's about 5-6 days of straight gameplay and considering they aren't all going to be released at the same time... I think it's easily achievable to play all of them. This is also taking into account that some of the games while I may be excited for, might not turn out to be as good as I was hoping, heck some of them could be outright terrible and I just won't play them after the first hour or two.
EDIT2: This is taking into consideration that last year I got through a shitload of games despite having 6 months where I pretty much couldn't play anything during the week due to work (landscaping - 6am start, 6pm finish, make/eat dinner, bed at 9-10). The first 6 months of the year were spent bumming around though lol but still I got through Bastion, Batman Arkham City, Battlefield 3, Bulletstorm, COD: MW3, Dead Space 2, DiRT 3, Dragon Age 2, Dungeon Defenders, Gears of War 3, InFamous 2, Iron Brigade, LA Noire, Magicka, Mortal Kombat, Orcs Must Die, Portal 2, Saints Row The Third, Skyrim, Space Marine, Terraria, Trine 2, Uncharted 3 and a heap of other games that weren't released last year lol.

They also spent a lot of time talking about how little time they had.
@stenchlord: Alright, yeah, I'm seeing it now. The no multiplayer thing helps a lot. In that case you can get what you want from most games in a weekend.
Honestly I think the AAA development scene is just kind of boring.
I mean I'll buy some of these games--but they don't really excite me. Like Need For speed subtitle, Okay that looks like it'll be fun. But it doesn't excite me. COD BLOPS 2, even AC3 they look like good games but they don't really spark the imagination in any crazy way.
I feel like all the really fun stuff is happening elsewhere. Fez was super cool. I just bought a whole pack of Indie games for 8 bucks that are totally awesome and vividly imaginative. And I just don't see anything like that being shown at E3, maybe the wrong venue but everything there seems safe and predictable.
No one wins press conferences since they are press conferences.
That said some really cool games were shown. SimCity looks fantastic, Beyond seemed really cool, and Assassin's Creed 3/Liberation have gotten me interested in the series again after wearing out on it. Then things like Watch Dogs and 1313 are really getting me hyped for the eventual next gen announcements. Those games have some mightily impressive visuals.
And despite not showing anything at their conference there were a lot of neat original Vita games on the show floor. Shame we have to scour youtube just to find any of them though.
Who won this Year?
I would say Nintendo...being the only ones to actually show something interesting. (no, I'm not a fanboy, I love my 360 just fine)
e3.nintendo.com for those curious to see what they had to offer this year and missed the broadcast.
http://www.gametrailers.com/e3/ for general E3 news and scheduals
On a side note....South Park for 360, yes please?
Since Kentia hall closed, has anybody really come out of E3 a winner?

If you want to talk just about games that I look forward to buying and playing:
Others I'll likely buy but am not hyped for:
There are probably more but that's all that comes to mind lol.

I am looking forward to AC3. The story line and time period has me hooked on the game. But there are nice little list of games coming up
Ubisoft definately won. Nintendo didn't have a very good show.. they didn't show anything WOW!
@Falcon said:

@nickb64: well, they have a whole second show devoted to 3DS, which is head and shoulders above what Sony did for the vita.
@stenchlord: Alright, yeah, I'm seeing it now. The no multiplayer thing helps a lot. In that case you can get what you want from most games in a weekend.
@Falcon: It also helps when you're the kinda person who would prefer to stay in rather than go out and party :P
Old age hit me early lol
Wasn't really impressed by the "Big 3"...I'd say Ubisoft had the best press conference...and no Mr Caffeine.
Honestly I think the AAA development scene is just kind of boring.

The new Sim City and XCOM: Enemy Unknown were the winners for me, I'll probably buy Halo 4 and Farcry 3
