after watching will use the toddy cold drip to make coffee i bought one and started using it. but i was wondering wouldnt the filter have germs growing on it due to it damp? would it ruin the filter if i let it dry out then used it again?
In the video it says to refrigerate the filter in a bag between uses. Which is what im doing. Although the filter i am using now got clogged pretty badly so I may just discard it.
I use the filters for no more than a month (usually about 3 pots). After that, they start smelling kind of funky. You put them in the fridge to retard the growth of bacteria and mold and stuff.

I've been brewing with my toddy for about 2 months now. Each pot lasts me exactly 6 days, and I'm on my third filter. Sound about right?
