Might not be a bug per se... Can't flag spammy blogs

  • I noticed several blog titles in the sidebar while reading one of the articles, and couldn't find any way to flag them, so I just commented on them. If there's not a way to flag user blogs for spam, that might be something to look into adding to make rooting out spam easier.
  • @nickb64:  Although it wouldn't fix the problem, you can also ignore a user's blog so at least you don't see it (or any other updates they make). It's right under the social media links on the right of their blog's header if you haven't seen it.
  • I didn't even know we could see a list of all the blogs :(

EDIT: Nvmd, I see what you're talking about now.  Hopefully the top men can implement some sort of system for that.
  • @nickb64: I wish there was a way to flag spammy profiles and blogs, but right now there's not. The best we can do is send a PM blast to the mods and they'll take care of it.

  • If ever any of you run into a spam blog send a PM to me and Magz and we will deal with it as soon as possible. Getting rid of blog post is a bit more troublesome however and requires the staff to intervene so it might be a day before it is actually gone but we will be able to ban the spammer's IP to prevent him/her from doing more damage.

Pat4327 already PMed me the list and i cockblocked them and flagged them for deletion by the staff.

The blog part of the site sure could use a security upgrade that is for sure.
