I've only visited the site briefly over the past week, so if the advertising policy changed I may not have heard. With that said, the Meebo bar keeps showing up for me and I pay my monthly Awesome Tax (premium membership). No other ads show up, and Adblocker won't get rid of the bar.

EDIT: It appears that my premium membership has vanished completely. That would be the problem, I guess.
@Fripplebubby: The monthly might've done it. Tested doesn't have any subscriptions yet, so, to my knowledge, any ad-free-ness was only a function of the duration of your type of subscription: for you the remainder of your month, for me the remainder of my year.
The renewal was for the CBS sub for the new Giant Bomb. They inherited all the automatic renewals. If you don't want to pay for GB, you should go over there and cancel your account.
Well, I've blown my entire post-Whiskey subscription budget on Giant Bomb, so if Tested wants to re-introduce subscriptions they're SOL. Unfortunate, because Tested used to be about 30% of why I subscribed to Whiskey.
@Foggen: A couple of days ago there was a thread in which Will commented that he plans on discussing a simple paid membership for no ads with the corporate overlord.
I imagine that it will not be in the same price range as the previous WM memberships.
I look forward to a reasonably priced new sub model. I also think Tested.com should begin thinking about premium member content that goes above and beyond what they do day-to-day. Something along the lines of the Lego build we had earlier in the year.
I love you guys, but my entertainment budget isn't unlimited. Make me an offer I can't refuse! :)
I think the ads take away from the layout aesthetic. Hopefully, when a new design launches, we will get an option--even if a paid one--to turn ads off. I prefer not seeing the ads, mostly because they are so general. I would prefer “Tested”-related ads.

Yeah, that would seem to be the issue. I don't see the bar. Was your sub set to expire soon?

The ads seem to have been turned on even if we were a premium member before...Is anyone else seeing them?

Ads are fine with me. MeeBo bar bugs the crap out of me though. It's so intrusive.
