Can't write in forums with iPad or iPhone

I'm not able to type in the forums of any of the Whiskey Media sites using my iPad or iPhone. Is there anyway to do it?

Only way to do it at the moment is to go to Insert >> HTML and type in there. 
Hoping they'll update the Whiskey sites with improved iDevice support some time soon... HTML5 video perhaps?

Yeah, or maybe even add Forum capabilities to the existing Apps, and make a Tested App. That would be tasty.

As of right now you have to use Insert --> HTML for all Whiskey Media websites.

Now I realized I can't sign in. Is there a way to sign in on iPhone OS?

If I recall you have to go into the forums and click Start A New Topic. That should take you to a sign in screen.

You can also mash the Code View button (it's the one on the far right). Fixing the text entry on Mobile Safari is on our list of things to fix, FWIW.  
  
I just bookmarked the login screen on my iPhone. FWIW, the login problem seems to be fixed in Mobile Safari 3.2 and 4.0.

@will: Unfortunately us peasants don't get code view. Great to hear a fix is on the way though!

What does this mean exactly?  a setting? a button? wanna give a mini-tutorial?

@TheAdmin: In the editor (where you normally write your replies/topics), the button on the far right in the toolbar says 'insert' with a down arrow next to it. 
If you click this, then the HTML option, you can enter the text in there.

 @TheBeast: Oh, I didn't realize that. Let me see what the implications of giving you access to that are. 
 
Looking at traffic right now, there really aren't many people trying to use the site on mobile devices. If that percentage went up some, it would probably become a higher priority ;)

This is basically my fault and I've been meaning to make out text editor iPhone/iPad compatible since last year.  I Fail!   
  
Once the next Whiskey Media site launches I'll make that my next project.

@ethan: Thanks for the update Ethan, that sounds great! I do a lot of moderation stuff over on Giant Bomb, so being able to do it from my iPad (when I get one...) would be fantastic. 
 
Any chance we could have access to the code view too? It would be really handy for times when the editor goes nuts, although I can understand the reluctance to make it available to normal users.

That might actually be the source of the problem. People don't visit from mobile devices because they're having a hard time posting, and can't @replay or quote... 
That's why I played Angry bird instead of reading tested, last friday, when I was waiting for people to arrive...
