I recently subscribed to Audible and have to say that it's been a delight. Though for the past few months I felt as if something was missing. I couldn't pin my finger on it until I saw this subsection. As a gamer, I've become accustomed to reading people discuss the latest releases. But books don't tend to have similar following. So I'd like to see if there is any interest in starting up book of the month discussion board on this fine forum. It should be simple enough (if we have more then a handful of people follow along). Anyone interested? Or is this subsection doomed to be a Q and A for ereaders?
i actually know absolutly nothing about it, I might be able to read that. maybe if we get a few more people was can put a vote up with a few options, there are quite a few book I've been meaning to pick up
I dont read much, mostly got audio books, but this would be a great idea and will help me start reading more books other than video game mags and complain letters from clients.
Perfect, so I guess all that's left is to pick out the book. I'll put up a poll tomorrow for the book we will go through. I'm considering the hunger games but don't know what the other two books should be. Suggestions?
The first two are non-fiction and the first was rec from some of the GB crew via twitter (i think it wsa ryan?). The third is fiction, I guess this depends on what we want to start with, Personally I would like to see a mix of fiction and nonfiction. Maybe something classic just for the hell of it?
So pending any more book ideas I'm gonna post a poll so we can get this going. Thinking about shooting a start date of the 25h, gives anyone who wants to read along a little over two weeks to get the book

I'd be into it, I read a ton any way, could be fun.
Sweet, if we get a few more people we could start one up for march. Any interest in the hunger games?

I'm in. I agree with @kurtkless lets see how many people would be interested and then put it up for a vote.
I'd be interested in joining this, March is super hectic for me with travelling for work, so I might have to skip the first month.
Great! We will hold off for a few more people then put up a poll for our first book.

Matt Rorie and Dave Snider are kind of already doing this over on Screened as a feature. Maybe look into that?

I'm in. Really I'm down for anything, as long as we go at a somewhat reasonable pace.
