My wife is an artist, and she's familiar with Adobe Photoshop 6.

She is starting a website for her artwork, and wants to learn Flash.

A friend of mine gifted us Adobe Creative Suite 3 which includes Photoshop CS3 Extended and Flash CS3 Pro.

Can anyone recommend some good books to get her started?

Also, if you want to check out her website, it is here.

It is still pretty rough, but I think you can see how her concept would benefit from Flash.

Thanks! :)

if she's familiar with photoshop the tools available to her in flash should be very intuitive thus far. Personally i reccomend a good google search and some online tutorials. They're usually the best. i'd argue better then books.

btw the link is dead =)

The internet is the best place tbh, never outdated and will always be on the edge.

@darkhelmet46: I would highly recommend Digital-tutors, they have video tutorials about Photoshop, Flash and Dreamweaver and you get access to all their tutorial by subscribing to a monthly fee. I use them a lot for CG tutorials like Maya, and I think 45 dollars per month is pretty fair considering the number of tutorials you get access to.

It's a pretty expensive price for CS3 books now, but I really like what Visual QuickStart does with their Flash and Photoshop (and every other) book.

Thank you for the suggestions.  I will show these to my wife and see what she says.
