Okay so I've been playing a lot of Skyrim lately like I am sure a lot of you are. I think the one thing I enjoy most about the game is just the world Bethesda created. Everything feels like it has an ecology to it, whether it's the trolls walking around like apes and giants herding mammoths, or the entire way the game deals with political economy/race.
Anyone know of any books that created as nearly a vibrant world that wasn't written by Tolkien, that possibly mixed the prehistoric animals in a fantasy setting like Skyrim does?
