I've watched both the Kindle Fire and the Kindle Touch 3G's reviews and I'm still conflicted as to which one I should buy.
Any tips/hints?
I know the newer kindles don't have replacable batteries so I'm aware of that, but I'm okay with the fact the new ones not having a replacable battery.
I also use the memory card slot in the Kindle I currently have.. (my entire card is full of books)..I'm not too sure about if the new ones have this feature or not.
@Minifig: I'd honestly recommend the $79 kindle. I think the touch is kind of a gimmick at this point, and the Fire isn't so much designed for reading as it is for watching video content.
I'm not sure, but I don't think any of the Kindles at this point have a memory card slot.
I was looking at a Kindle Fire the other day at Office Max and I was really impressed by it. It's completely different than my 1st Gen..
Just about everyone that doesn't have the specs of every tablet and e reader tattooed on the back of there hands likes it. Prolly a good buy if you tried it and it impressed you.
@Minifig: For Christmas two years ago I got my mom a Kindle Keyboard and she really enjoys it. I got the Kindle Fire when it was released and it is a good little tablet, but it does have some issues. If reading is your primary interest, I would suggest the $79 Kindle and waiting for the new Kindle tablet that has been rumored to be coming out in early 2012.

Thanks for your input gang. :)

It's really hard to not recommend the $80 kindle, such a mature great product.

Kindle... tablet? *perk* That sounds... great. :D
Just go with the $79 Kindle.
For reading the Kindle 4 is the best, basically the same as a Kindle 3 but the screen is going to be a nice upgrade over your first gen one.
Don't get a Fire, it's not a bad tablet but e-ink is way better to read on.
