We're just a few days away from Adam Savage's version of Christmas, and as usual he's beside himself with joy.
Here's what he's doing this year publicly, and for those of you who cannot be there, we will be sharing as much as possible from the event, plus of course TONS of video on Tested afterward.
Adam Incognito 1 (Thursday)
Stay tuned to Twitter (@donttrythis), because we'll Tweet when Adam is hitting the floor in his first Incognito costume. He may or may not have a surprise guest with him. (OK. Yes. He'll have a surprise guest with him.) The first person to identify Adam will get two passes to his panel on Friday.
What superfan doesn't love a good debate? Star Destroyer or Enterprise? Who was the best Batman? Have video games eclipsed movies and TV? And what about Jodie Whittaker as the new Dr. Who? John Hodgman leads the ultimate debate, featuring panelists Adam Savage, Orlando Jones, Aisha Tyler, John Barrowman and Charlie Jane Anders.
Other guests in addition to Adam and Paul and Storm: John Hodgman, John Roderick, Michael Giacchino, Marian Call, Gail Simone, Amy Berg and Travis McElroy. In other words, LOTS of amazing people, and for under $50. Tix: http://sandiegotheatres.org/w00tstock-9-0/
Adam Incognito 2 (Friday)
Again, dial in to Twitter (@donttrythis), because we'll Tweet when Adam is hitting the floor in costume. The first person to identify Adam will get two passes to his panel later that day.
Stan Lee and Friends: A Celebrity Tribute to the Comics Legend (Friday at 12:30 pm)
Hot off immortalizing his hand and footprints in cement at the TCL Chinese Theatre in Hollywood, 95-year-old comics legend Stan Lee heads to San Diego Comic-Con for an intimate Q&A with Felicia Day, Adam Savage, and Stan's longtime manager Max Anderson.
An Hour with Adam Savage (Friday at 7:30 pm)
This year, Adam is joined by two very special guests that we're not announcing quite yet. One note about the panel, though: It's in a room that holds 500 people, and more than 940 people have already said they are attending via Comic-Con's app. So you may want to arrive a few minutes early.
Adam Incognito 3 (Saturday)
Yes, there are three this year. Since Adam's panel will already be over, though, no prize for this one besides bragging rights, being in a Tested video, and talking to Adam for a few minutes.
Adam's doing his annual (free) signing for folks. Usually you need a (free) ticket ahead of time; we're checking with Comic-Con on when that drawing may be.
Adam will be interviewing Expanse authors (and very good friends) Ty Franck and Daniel Abramson during the Expanse activation that production company Alcon is putting on at Comic-Con. We're awaiting details on exact location of the Q&A, so stay tuned.
Again, for those of you who can't be at Comic-Con, know we'll share everything we can live as it happens, and then more on Tested.com when we get back!
