The Dutch island of Samso is a marvel of ecology – all of the power used by the island is generated by wind turbines there. It also boasts the largest maze in Europe, the size of twelve soccer fields – the Samso Labyrinten. At every one of the maze’s T-junctions, there is a plaque with a question on it and two answers. Choosing the correct answer will lead you towards the exit, while the other will just get you even more lost. The maze also has eight different destination goals, including a scale replica of the Pyramid of Cheops, to hunt for. Samso Labyrinten is also notable for the wildlife you’ll encounter on your adventure, including birds, fox and deer.
