The Epic Spaces of Modern Industry Infrastructure

By Norman Chan

The warehouses and data centers that make the world go 'round.

"Epic" is an appropriate name for Christian Stoll's photography collection, culled from hundreds of photographs he has taken over decades of advertising work for megacorporations like Microsoft, IBM, and GE. The gallery of 11 wide-angle photos is quite impressive--brightly-lit server farms, towering mail rooms, and white mechanical assembly warehouses all look gorgeous in their stoic sterility.
